The Department of Economics is one of 4 units in the College of Management and Economics, and has a permanent faculty of 23. The Chair of the Department is Professor John Livernois.
Faculty are actively engaged in research in most of the major areas of economics and the Department runs a weekly seminar series of visiting speakers for faculty and graduate students. The Department has responsibilities in many major undergraduate programs and offers graduate study opportunities leading to M.A. and Ph.D. degrees.
