Chris mckenna

Professor of Economics
Dean, College of Management and Economics

Chris McKenna joined the Department of Economics at the University of Guelph in 1989. He received a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Salford University (U.K.) in 1976 and a D.Phil. from the University of York (U.K.) in 1983. He has published in many journals including the Journal of Political Economy, Economic Journal, Journal of Public Economics, Canadian Journal of Economics and he is the author of several books, some of which have been translated into Japanese, Chinese, and Italian.

His teaching and research interests are in macroeconomics, labour economics, game theory and the economics of risk and uncertainty. He was Chair of the Department of Economics, 1998-2002 and Associate Vice-President (Research), 2002-06. Since May 1, 2006, he has been Dean of the College of Management and Economics.
